Yiru Wang is a London-based textile artist and designer known for her innovative approach to materials and design. She earned her Master’s degree in Textiles from the University of the Arts London, where she specialised in home textile design, weaving techniques, and digital applications. Previously, she studied Art & Design at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, where she gained a solid foundation in art history, design fundamentals, and interdisciplinary practices. Leading a bio-fabric collaboration project between her university and the Beijing Institute of Technology, Yiru focused on developing sustainable textile materials, reflecting her commitment to eco-friendly design.


Yiru’s work has been showcased internationally, with exhibitions at Louvre Art Shopping in Paris, New York Design Week, and several shows in London, including Existing in Shadowland and 26462 SUNS. Her creativity and technical expertise have earned her awards such as the Silver Award at the London Design Awards and recognition at the Medusa Art Award. Proficient in multiple design tools and fluent in English and Chinese, Yiru seamlessly blends traditional craftsmanship with contemporary innovation, establishing herself as a rising talent in the global art and design community.
